Jabra, an audio solutions brand of GN Netcom, is focusing on the India unified communications (UC) market with its new Evolve series of professional headsets featuring advanced noise-cancellation technologies.

The company is targeting verticals like BFSI, BPO, IT/ITeS, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing as well as global and Indian MNCs and organizations who use Microsoft Lync and Cisco UC technologies. Jabra expects the professional headset market to grow exponentially with the growing UC market in India.

According to 6W Research, the India Unified Communication Market is expected to reach $1.5 billion in 2018, growing at a CAGR of 12.4 percent from 2013-2018. "We sense large opportunity in the growing UC market which is targeted toward enhancing employee productivity. However, the foremost challenge in the adoption of UC at workstations is a distraction in the open offices," highlighted Mark Leigh, President, Asia Pacific, GN Netcom.

According to a survey, 69 percent of the respondents highlighted distraction as the largest challenge in the open offices, which leads to degraded productivity as per 65 percent of respondents. The survey also highlights that employees get distracted every 10 minutes, which underlines the challenges faced by the knowledge workforce at workstations.

The Jabra Evolve series aims to enhance productivity by offering a personal concentration zone with passive and active noise cancellation features. The series comes in five models - 20, 30, 40, 65 and 80, and offers large ear cushions with specially designed foam to block office noise.

The Jabra Evolve 65 features built-in Bluetooth for wireless connectivity and all the models work with all the PCs, tablets, and mobiles through USB and 3.5mm stereo jack. Headsets also come with busy light indicator.

"The Jabra Evolve headsets create a complete personal concentration zone that boosts focus and work satisfaction for employees in increasingly open, loud, and distracting workspaces," said Leigh.

The series is available immediately through Jabra Business Solutions partners starting from Rs 3,070. The company has Innova Telecom as an exclusive national distributor and has over 70 Business Solutions.
