Dust and Dirt to Drone and Dignity

“The great differentiator in business is when an organisation steps out and creates value from something never tried before,” says Kerry Baskins

The ITI network in India consists of 13,500+ ITIs to train 19 lakh youth every year, but the way ITI passed out students are treated can only be dignified by training them with advanced drone technologies and dexterity that will up skill them and increase the efficiency of youth and further contribute to development. At the FICCI Conference, CEO of IG Drones, Mr. Bodhisattwa Sanghapriya, expressed a new vision of making IG Drones a Global Drone Hub.

The FICCI conference in Delhi was held with a vision of making India the drone capital of the world in the upcoming years.

In India, drones are serving various industries such as agriculture, mapping, surveillance, mining, defence, healthcare, powerline monitoring, delivering supplies, and more. There are many things that a drone can do, and industries across the spectrum are exploring the true potential of what a drone can do According to 6Wresearch, the Indian UAV market is poised to grow at a CAGR of 18% during 2017–23 in terms of revenue.

IG Drones is India’s leading enterprise drone solutions provider for drone surveying, mapping, and inspection by various industry experts. They have gallantly collaborated with multiple state governments along with 30 of the biggest PSU’s and MNC’s and have successfully executed more than 250 projects, with its head office at Delhi and branch offices at Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Guwahati, Bangalore and Bhubaneswar.

The IG Drones - Drone Centre of Excellence (CoE) is an initiative directed at inducting 10 million micro-entrepreneurs and industry professionals with IG Drones software, hardware, and operating procedures. To strengthen its presence on the ground, IG Drones has partnered with FICCI, ESSCI, and corporate houses such as Adani, JK Group and other industry powerhouses to establish these centres across India.

IG Drones COE provides students with a vast scope to learn, imagine, innovate, inspire, encourage, and imbue them with the desire to try new innovations. Established in partnership with the industry-academia, the centre enhances industrial awareness among students and faculties. The COE prepares and wants to continue to educate the Indian youth for the upcoming Industrial 4.0 Revolution with the goal of self-sufficiency while bringing about a revolutionary paradigm shift in making India the world's next Drone Hub. IG Drones, under its mission to upskill 10 million youth with the latest drone technology, has partnered with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) in May 2022, which beamed a new triumph into the drone ecosystem in India.

We at IG Drones firmly believes in the power of D2D transformation, i.e., from dust and dirt to drone and dignity.

At the FICCI-organised Making India the Drone Hub conference, Gen (Dr) VK Singh (Retd), Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Government of India, emphasised that if India is to become a global hub for drones, it must prioritise quality, innovation, and indigenisation, which lead to lower costs over anything else.

FICCI is dedicatedly working towards a partnership with the government in order to realise the Prime Minister’s objective of making India a global hub for drones. One of the many reasons why the drone industry will keep on expanding is the rising number of drone applications combined with favourable governmental policy regulations and the rising number of start-ups, as stated by Mr. Arun Chawla, Director General of FICCI.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation has wagered big on the drone industry by nullifying and repealing despotic rules and regulations that had kept it from thriving in India. But the simplified rules and ecosystem won’t suffice alone. The government is now creating demand and venturing into ‘drones as a service', Jyotiraditya Scindia, Minister of Civil Aviation, recently said in an interview.

IG Drones is bestowed as the best drone startup organisation in India by Airwards, the first panoptic global awards programme of its kind dedicated to identifying, recognising, and championing the breadth of positive drone use cases from around the world. It is also selected to be part of the Revv Up Startup Acceleration Program by Telangana AI mission (T-AIM) and among 62 AI startup selected for TAIM REVVUP 3rd Cohort moving one step forward to make India Global drone hub.

IG Drones is currently raising its pre-series, which is its capital, and is in advanced level discussions with the investors for its growth plans in India and across the globe
